Explore Mobile Day This Weekend

MOBILE, Ala. — The Downtown Historic Alliance and Historic Mobile Preservation Society are among organizations celebrating National Historic Preservation Month with Explore Mobile Day on May 1 at noon-5 p.m. There will be free admission to various city attractions, including the History Museum of Mobile, Colonial Fort Condé, the Mobile Carnival Museum, the Historic Oakleigh House Museum, the GulfQuest Maritime Museum, the Condé-Charlotte Museum, Flight Works Alabama and the Dora Franklin Finley African American Heritage Trail. The center of the event is Mardi Gras Park, where live music and food trucks and other vendors will be present. Visitors will receive a passport with a map and each venue listed.
