MAIC Fundraising Luncheon Announced

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Area Interfaith Conference (MAIC) Annual Fundraising Luncheon will be held on May 12 at 12:00-1: 30 p.m. at Government Street Presbyterian Church in Mobile. MAIC is a nonprofit that focuses on reentry into the community for people who were formerly incarcerated. It focuses on housing, education, training, employment and general assistance. All funds generated at the event will strengthen its current programs, the Metro Jail Chaplaincy Office, Neighbor Center and Academy for Career Development. “We are excited to have the Government Street Presbyterian Church host the event, since this congregation was one of the original churches involved in the Conference of Downtown Churches before it became MAIC,” its website states.
