Auburn Contracts for Branded Soilkit

Auburn University recently entered a partnership with AgriTech Corp. for an Auburn-branded version of the company’s SoilKit (Agritech’s Soilkit Now In Stores), AL.com reported. Created by Christina Woerner McInnis of Foley, who was a winner of Lowe’s’ “top three entrepreneurs” in the “Making It…with Lowe’s” virtual pitch program in March, the product is sold to homeowners who want a scientific analysis of their soil. Auburn University’s College of Agriculture tests the samples to “deliver easy-to-understand soil test results to homeowners, landscapers and municipalities,” the university said. It added that this marks the first time a public, land-grant university has worked with a private company to provide soil testing. The kit may be ordered here or at Alabama Extension offices.
