Bayou La Batre Redevelopment Master Plan Drafted

The Bayou La Batre City Docks Redevelopment Project, which kicked off in September 2020 (Bayou La Batre Docks Redevelopment Begins), has met its schedule for a completed draft master plan. Further comments may be submitted to the project team in preparation for the final master plan. The goal of the $21-million, multiyear RESTORE Act project “is to meet current and future economic, environmental and recreational needs by planning sustainable retail and commercial developments and recreational opportunities that support ecotourism, fishing industries and aquaculture,” the redevelopment website explains.
