Art Consultancy Opens In Fairhope

Satsuma Fine Art, a new art consulting business based in Fairhope, launched on January 1. Satsuma will work closely with private collectors, corporate offices, real estate developers, healthcare facilities, public institutions and more. “Satsuma eliminates the opacities of the art market and walks clients through each step of the acquisition process,” it said. Catie Cullen, founder and president, said Satsuma will serve private and public clients on the Gulf Coast by transforming spaces through the power of art. Cullen began her career in Boston, where she consulted with Fortune 500 companies and startups. She also managed projects with hospitality, healthcare and residential clients for fine art, murals and other commissions. She traveled to the Middle East, where she oversaw the installation of several hundred artworks in a hospital and continued her career in New Orleans, where she served as a researcher, writer and curator at an art gallery. She holds a master’s degree in art history from Tulane University.
