Classical Ballet Launches Homeschool Program

MOBILE, Ala. — Classical Ballet of Mobile has announced a ballet program to satisfy homeschooled grade school students’ physical education requirements. No dance experience is necessary for first- through eighth-grade homeschoolers to enroll in the twice-weekly, 1-hour ballet classes. They are offered at both beginner and intermediate levels. Both boys and girls may register at any point during the semester, and high schoolers in the homeschool system are encouraged to participate in the studio’s “Beginner/Intermediate Adult” classes. Students are not required to be Classical Ballet of Mobile members, and gymnasts, athletes and students from other dance schools are encouraged to attend to round out existing sport or dance training.
