Mobile Arts Council Student Program, Exhibition Announced

The Mobile Arts Council has announced its upcoming 2025 District 1 Visual Arts Achievement Program and Young at Art exhibition, showcasing the talents of young artists from across the region. The program, which includes public and private schools from Baldwin and Mobile counties, offers students in grades 6-12 the opportunity to be recognized for their contributions to the visual arts. Students who receive a district award will also be recognized in the Alabama State Council on the Arts’ State Awards online. The exhibition will feature artwork in a variety of categories, including craft, drawing, painting, photography/new media, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture. The District 1 juried exhibition will be on display from February 4 to 23 in Room 1927 at the Mobile Arts Council Gallery. Simultaneously, the Young at Art exhibition will highlight the creativity of those in grade 5 and younger. While these younger artists are not part of the juried competition, their work will be celebrated. The awards ceremony for both exhibitions will take place on February 23 at 1-3 p.m. in Room 1927.
