Baldwin County Ranked No. 2 In Incoming Investments

SmartAsset recently ranked the top 10 counties in Alabama in “Incoming Investment,” “Business Growth,” “Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth” and “New Building Permits.” The financial technology firm ranked Baldwin County second in the first category with 7.8% business growth, $501 million in GDP growth and 31.7 new building permits per every 1,000 homes over the last three years. It also saw the largest population growth in the state, according to the 2020 census, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. Mobile County ranked second, and Baldwin County ranked fourth in “GDP Growth.” Mobile County showed 0.2% business growth, $777 million in GDP growth and 5.1 new building permits per every 1,000 homes over the last three years.
