PenAir Opens Financial Health, Literacy Season

PenAir Credit Union is accepting applications through July 13 for the 2025-2026 season of NOW, its financial fitness competition designed to help local families tackle debt and build savings. Three households will be selected to receive seven months of hands-on coaching and compete for a $10,000 grand prize. There will also be prizes of $5,000 and $2,500 to the runners-up. From September 2025 to April 2026, each selected participant will work closely with a certified PenAir financial counselor to build a custom plan for success. The plan will include budgeting, saving and credit improvement. Applicants must either be current PenAir members or eligible to join. They must also demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving their financial situations and be open to sharing their progress with the community through interviews, videos and online posts.
