Innovation Portal Hires, Opens Survey

MOBILE, Ala — Mobile’s Innovation Portal has hired Alina Schweizer as its new special projects assistant. The Stuttgart, Germany, native is a graduate MBA student at the University of Mobile, where she is an assistant coach for the tennis team. Schweizer has been in the U.S. for the past six years for her tertiary education. Before moving to Mobile, her tennis scholarships took her across the country to represent universities in Kentucky and Ohio. Additionally, Innovation Portal is accepting responses to its Coastal Alabama Startup Survey through November 20. Entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to respond so Innovation Portal may better understand the current needs of the region’s entrepreneurs, create relevant programming and support for startup founders, and fundraise to continue providing no- and low-cost support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
