Chamber, City Of Mobile Partner For Litter Award

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Chamber has partnered with the City of Mobile to present the Litter-Free Leader Award, a quarterly and annual award program that encourages businesses to stop litter. Applications will be submitted to the chamber, which is to announce a quarterly winner starting in July. The first “Litter-Free Leader of the Year” will be announced on January 11, 2023, at the chamber’s annual State of the City and County event. Providing extra trash cans, cleaning their parking lots, promoting being litter-free to their patrons/customers and engaging in community-wide litter efforts are examples of what the chamber and city are looking for. Quarterly winners will be featured in Business View, receive the award at the chamber’s board of directors meeting, be featured in the chamber’s and Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson’s media outlets and be eligible to be named Litter-Free Leader of the Year.
