Mobile Chamber Names Business Of The Year

Silver Ships, Inc. has been named the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, Business Alabama reported. The Theodore-based aluminum shipbuilder had a record number of vessels in production and won multiple bids this year. Wins include a recent $8.2-million contract from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard (BBN #63). Steven Clarke, CEO and co-owner of Silver Ships, said, “It is an exciting time in the marine industry and for our company as we continue to build… aluminum workboats for customers across the U.S. and internationally.
