Mobile Chamber Poll Results Optimistic

According to a recent poll, members of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce are optimistic about the local economy. Approximately 65% of respondents said they believe their businesses will be in better shape in 2022 than they were in 2021. The full survey results of the October 2021 poll show that the chamber received 257 responses from members in 17 different industries. The survey also elucidated what respondents saw as key challenges for businesses this year: attracting and retaining qualified employees, the global supply chain and recovering from COVID-19. “When asked to rate their company’s performance expectations in 2022, most respondents are forecasting a slight increase in sales, profits and hiring with 65% believing their business will be in better shape over the next year,” the chamber added.
