Graham Creek Nature Preserve AG Building Underway

FOLEY, Ala. — Work for a new 1,300-ft2, $375,000 facility at Foley’sGraham Creek Nature Preserve is progressing apace, Gulf Coast Media reports. The facility is to explore the future of agriculture in Baldwin County and beyond as “a working educational facility," Graham Creek Manager Leslie Gahagan said, adding, "We will be looking to begin tours in January." Its construction will be funded with Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act money. The Graham Creek Nature Preserve Ag Building was designed by WAS Design and is being constructed by The Highland Group. It will include a large, enclosed walk-in cooler for the hydroponics department, a 600-ft2 covered porch, storage space, restrooms, offices and an outside kitchen.
