MTA Watershed Draft Management Plan Released

TheMobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP) has posted a draft watershed management plan for the 37,000-acre Mobile-Tensaw Apalachee (MTA) Watershed in Mobile and Baldwin counties. MBNEP says citizen feedback is a crucial part of the watershed planning process and highly encouraged. During this public comment period, the community may voice concerns about known issues within the MTA Watershed, as well as prioritize issues of concern and recommend strategies to address them. Comments on the plan may be submitted to the attention of Christian Miller at email through July 3. The plan follows a public survey opened in February 2021 that set priorities for a portion of the delta.
