Four School Systems Become First For “We Build It Better”

Four Alabama school systems have signed up for the full “We Build It Better” middle-school science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics curriculum developed by Flight Works Alabama. Baldwin Public Schools, the Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS), Selma City Schools and the Dallas County School District have enrolled following the pilot, which included 11 schools (BBN #16 & 23). Larry Mouton, assistant superintendent of MCPSS, said, “MCPSS is very excited to be part of the We Build It Better program. Our teachers and students have been very impressed with the pilot program, and we look forward to full implementation in the fall.” We Build It Better is a collaboration of Flight Works, Airbus, the State of Alabama, the Alabama Power Foundation, Amazon Web Services, Snap-on Inc., Mott MacDonald, the University of South Alabama and the University of West Alabama.
