Mobile Opens Yearly Critical Home Repair Program

The City of Mobile’s Department of Community and Housing Development will resume accepting applications for its Critical Repair Grant Program on June 1. The federally backed program assists qualifying low-income homeowners with repairs that can help secure their homes. Each year, there is a different focus, and 2021’s is exterior roofing replacement. Applications are approved based on need, and applicants must own and occupy the home as their primary residence, meet home income requirements and have a will. For more information, call 251-208-6294.
