RFP Meeting For Allocating Opioid Settlement Funds Coming Up

The City of Mobile has announced that it and The Helios Alliance will host a community meeting on September 4 at 9:30-10 a.m. at Innovation Portal in Mobile to discuss the upcoming request for proposal (RFP) process for allocating opioid litigation settlement funds. Mobile has contracted Helios to conduct a data-driven analysis to help city leaders determine the most impactful way to distribute the approximately $2.2 million Mobile has received from opioid-related lawsuits. Helios is to develop and manage a comprehensive RFP process focusing on four priority areas: treatment, prevention, survival programs and communication. Those interested in applying for the funds and members of the public are invited to the community meeting, during which Helios will explain the data-driven system it will use to evaluate proposals and provide an overview of the RFP process, including guidelines, requirements and evaluation criteria.
