Satsuma OKs Projects

The Satsuma City Council has voted to schedule several projects for 2023, with some that may start in January, Call News reports. They include work on the entrance road to the Pilot travel Center and Chevron station and the Pennsylvania railroad crossing at Highway 43. The council also approved McElhenny Construction Co. as the low bidder for the $1.15-million renovation of Steele Creek Lodge and its grounds funded by the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act. Bids were also accepted for trash-ramp repairs by Tindle construction ($19,500) and Joe Tarver Construction ($15,680). Finally, George Fralic was approved as a city building inspector following a two-year search.
