Mobile Infirmary Nurse Residency Program Receives State-First Designation

 Mobile Infirmary has announced its Nurse Residency Program has received the Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This achievement makes Mobile Infirmary’s program the first in Alabama to earn this accreditation. Achieving PTAP accreditation indicates the program meets the national standards for excellence, advancing nursing competence, confidence and professional development. The ANCC highlighted several strengths of the Mobile Infirmary Nurse Residency Program, including engaged nursing leadership, simulation training, and mentorship and preceptorship. The program was recognized for its strong emphasis on professional development, team-based learning and evidence-based practices.
