PFC Hosting Fundraising Events

Pilots for Christ (PFC), a Monroeville-based nonprofit that provides free air transportation to patients, is seeking community support this September with two initiatives aimed at maintaining its services. Earlier this month, its primary aircraft was temporarily grounded for scheduled maintenance, which required an investment of $50,000 to uphold safety and reliability standards. During the two-week maintenance period, PFC allocated an additional $15,000-$30,000 for alternative transportation options to ensure continuity of patient care. To offset these expenses, PFC launched two fundraising campaigns, “Be Our Co-Pilot” and “Sirmon Sunnies” Sunflower Project. Both encourage community participation in supporting their mission of providing medical transportation. The annual “Sirmon Sunnies” Sunflower Project, held at Sirmon Farms in Daphne, started on Labor Day and continues as the sunflowers bloom. The event invites the public to walk through the fields and pick sunflowers at no charge, with donation boxes available throughout the farm. All contributions collected will support Pilots for Christ. Donations to the campaign can also be made online at PilotsForChrist.net.
