Master Boat Builders Announces Contract

MOBILE, Ala. — Master Boat Builders of Coden has been awarded a contract for a 4,000-ton tugboat for PNE Marine Holdings Inc., Business Alabama reports. The new vessel is a sister ship to the Polaris, delivered to Polaris New Energy (PNE) earlier this year. It will be partnered with an under-construction barge at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding Co. in Wisconsin. Together, they will form an articulated barge-tug unit “to help fuel the cruise ship industry’s new liquid natural gas-powered ships in Port Canaveral in Florida,” Master Boat Builders said.
