AAA USA Donates Aircraft To Saraland High

AAA USA, the DRAKKAR and Daher aerospace, industrial and ground transportation service joint venture in Mobile, has announced the donation of a full-scale maintenance training aircraft to Saraland High School in support of the school’s aviation program. The donation is a retired Piper PA-28 general aviation aircraft. It will provide students “with an actual airframe to work on, offering invaluable and realistic hands-on experience that bridges the gap between classroom learning and industry needs,” AAA USA said. The school is just north of AAA USA headquarters, and its airframe technology program enables students to learn about the construction and operation of aircraft and their systems, thereby opening possibilities for young adults to seek future careers as mechanics, as technicians and in other professions. Additionally, the company has introduced an aviation scholarship for Saraland High School students. The scholarship will be awarded annually to selected recipients who may apply through the school.
