Perdido Beach Running Event Set For March 2

The Perdido Beach Resort Half Marathon, Fun Run & 5K Run has been announced for 27200 Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach on March 2. Attendees may choose from a half marathon, a 5K or the "Moore Miles One Mile Fun Run." The half marathon starts at 7 a.m., the 5K starts at 7:15 a.m., the fun run starts at 7:20 a.m., and awards will be presented for the 5K at approximately 8:15 a.m. and for the half marathon at approximately 9:45 a.m. A "Bubbles on the Beach" post-race party will be held until 11 a.m. This entire event benefits the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, which provides youth mental health first aid training to adults working with adolescents and provides an at-risk prevention and peer-support program, Peer Helpers PLUS, to 53 schools, equipping nearly 37,000 students with coping and life skills.
