UWSWA Launches Fund, Contributes To Feeding The Gulf Coast

The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) has launched the Community Crisis Fund to bring the community together in support of families facing hunger and financial hardship. The fund will provide emergency financial assistance to local agencies that help families meet essential needs such as food, housing, healthcare and childcare. Its initial contribution is $10,000 to Mobile-based nonprofit Feeding the Gulf Coast to strengthen food distribution efforts across Southwest Alabama and ensure families have reliable access to nutritious meals. The fund’s donations will directly support emergency response and relief efforts throughout Mobile, Choctaw, Clarke and Washington counties. Contributions may be made here or by texting “United4All” to 41444.
