Baldwin County Real Estate Update

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — While the number of closed sales may have dipped slightly in May 2022 (compared to May 2021), the total sales volume for Baldwin County increased by 24.5% due to a significant increase in sales prices. The Baldwin REALTORS Multiple Listing Service reports the average sales price for May in the “Resort” market of Baldwin County at $737,378, a new record. The “Traditional Residential” area saw its highest-ever average sales price at $383,965, which is an 18.3% increase year-over-year. “Traditional Residential” also saw 726 new listings and 567 closed sales in the past month. Average days on market continues low at 23 days, a 37.8% decrease from 37 days in 2021. “Resort” experienced 392 new listings and 243 closed sales in May 2022. Average days on market for “Resort” also dropped by 44.2%, resulting in an average of just 24 days.
