Local investors paid $300,000 for a 2,736-ft2 building at 5009 Cottage Hill Road and plan to open a vape shop, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty, who handled the transaction. Batesville Casket Co. has leased 15,000 ft2 of warehouse space at 3450 Armour Avenue, according to Tommy Gleason of CRE Mobile, who represented the landlord. Tim Mills of The Cummings Co. worked for the tenant. DirecTV has leased 5,000 ft2 of office warehouse space at 3100 Lees Lane, according to Steadman Bethea of Stirling Properties, who represented the tenant. Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty worked for the landlord. Taco Mama has leased 3,150 ft2 of space in Piccadilly Square on Piccadilly Square Drive off Airport Boulevard and is scheduled to open early next year, according to Kenny Nichols of Vallas, who represented Taco Mama. Harle worked for the landlord. Mobile-based Rich’s Car Wash has leased the former Mugshots site at 6255 Airport Boulevard, according to Nichols, who represented the car wash. This is a relocation of Rich’s former site on Hillcrest Road. Harle worked for the landlord. Finally, the Alabama Education Association has leased 3,000 ft2 in Montlimar Place at 1110 Montlimar Drive, according to Leigh Rendfrey of CRE, who represented the tenant. Gleason represented the landlord.
