According to AL.com, a local business owner paid $455,000 for two buildings totalling 6,800 ft2 at 3502 Government Boulevard and 913 Lakeside Drive in Mobile, according to Pete Riehm and Brandon Broadus of CRE Mobile, who handled the transaction. Also in Mobile, Pike Engineering Services leased 1,418 ft2 of space in Bel Air Tower at 851 South Beltline Highway, and Town & Country Spinal Pain Center leased 3,000 ft2 at 6157 Airport Boulevard, according to Nathan Handmacher of Zarzour Cos. Additionally, a hotel developer is looking to build a four-story, 122-room hotel at 5195 Motel Court in Mobile. In Foley, the planning commission is recommending the city approve several public projects, including a 10,000-ft2 expansion to the civic center at 407 East Laurel Avenue, at an estimated cost of $5 million. Also under consideration is construction of a commercial kitchen and leased space at the Farmer’s Market at 781 Farmers Market Lane. The 2,500-ft2 project is estimated to cost $500,000.
