Satsuma Residents To Get Water, Sewer

The Mobile County Commission has awarded a $3.4-million bid for water and sewer service for Satsuma residents west of I-65 to Construction Labor Services Inc. of Eight Mile, Call News reported. Homes primarily in the Satsuma Oaks subdivision, where new houses have been steadily added, are to be served. Costs will be reimbursed by the RESTORE Grant Program. The commission helped manage the grant because Satsuma and many other small cities in Mobile County don’t have the workforce to handle federal grants on their own. The total contract time is 270 calendar days.
