Spire Names New CEO

Natural gas utility Spire has named Scott Doyle its new president and CEO, AL.com reports. Doyle replaces Steve Lindsey, who was terminated without cause and who resigned as a board member, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Spire said the management change “is not the result of any material or unexpected financial events” and that it will announce details of a separation agreement with Lindsey and terms of Doyle’s employment later. Doyle recently served as Spire’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. He filled in for Lindsey from January 3 through February 10 as Lindsey began a leave of absence for health-related reasons. He previously served as executive vice president of utility operations at CenterPoint Energy in Houston and held numerous executive leadership positions with that company.
