Stapleton School Teacher Wins PALS Governor’s Award

 The 2025 Alabama People Against a Littered State (PALS) Governor’s Awards recently recognized groups, cities, counties and individuals that demonstrate outstanding commitment in litter control, recycling, local and statewide cleanup efforts, environmental education and volunteerism. Tammy Grace, a second-grade teacher at Stapleton School, was a winner in “Education.” The Poarch Creek Indians, a PALS sponsor, said the organization recognized and presented scholarship funds to the winners of the Alabama Clean Campus Program statewide competition. The Clean Campus Program focuses on implementing litter education and recycling programs in Alabama schools.
